Completing my junior year,came home with flying colors for summer hols.I was well greeted by the leaking pipes,flickering bulbs,a new laptop and of course street dogs at home.The very next day happened to realize the robustness of electrical home-appliances like refrigerator,washing machine,mixie etc.Almost all are serving efficiently and effectively for a decade.This gave a great inspiration on how to design products.Unfortunately the truth sprung out in a different fashion,when i shared this with my parents.The refrigerator doesnt defrost,the washing
machine's spinner stopped working and quavering mixie.

Hmmm,a sudden strong sympathy ran on these engineering products. Subconsciously,refrigerator ogled me.Of course,i am a bit hazy about the working of ref. But to prove myself,i wanted to repair.Then precipitously ran into the store-room and got a screwdriver.Wait!! first i got the manual of it.I looked at technical and troubleshooting aspects ardently.But astonishingly,i couldnt find even a detail.Gathering all memories of thermo-dynamic cycles of refrigeration and opened the door of ref..The cold breeze hit my chest.Wow!! it was nice which immediately triggered me to switch-off.With alacrity,i opened a box having a mechanically actuated switch for light.As usual,the light didnt glow.

Aaaah, A hopeful gleam entered my eyes i found the problem .Well, its just a loose contact and hence the bulb doesnt glow immediately when the door opens.But thats not the complaint.Well on careful observation and deep investigation,i found the spring in the defrost switch is stuck.

In an attempt to pull the spring out,i used the screwdriver's tip.Unfortunately,the moisture was formed at that place in the wrong time and the tip slipped on that glossy metal frame.As,i was using an enormous force,the screwdriver just flew like a bullet and the tip was sharp enough to cut a wire.I left it there and packed everything lickety-split.And the results were out within an hour.The inside temperature of ref. rose to the ambient.Felt that, refrigerant flew off on cutting the wire.

With dismay, told the fact and apologized to my parents but they encouraged me with a saying
"FAILURE IS A STEPPING STONE TO SUCCESS".After a moment of down and self-realization,
concluded that engineering is a skill that comes by practice and not by years of study.After 2 days,the new replaced the old and everythingback to normal.Need to admit that it was an unnecessary and futile attempt.Still, deep down the heart,something hurts.A working one became a scrape goat for my ego.

10:57....parked the cycle in front of humanities department
10:58...reached the second floor
10:59...found Room No. 332 but 332B is missing
11:00...call from TTN (Dean IC&SR)

Actually,misleaded by the newly updated IITM Website, went to Humanities Department instead of Management Studies.By 11:05 reached his office and knocked the door.A welcoming voice from inside said "Come in".With completely a blank face, here i entered the room.The room looked very simple with 3 fans(No AC) and plastic chairs.But the chair at the center grabbed my
attention.It was peculiar with sliver of wood which supports back.This 3 legged chair had a beautiful flower design on it as well.Later found out that its 32 years old and still serving."Old is Gold".

During the surveillance the familiar voice called me to take up a chair.Dean asked me to introduce myself(in IITM lingo,"put intro").Being nervous,I missed many details.But being Dean, with a lot of patience helped me out.Later he enquired about hobbies,extra curricular activities,Profs etc.In my turn,I asked him about why did he become a prof,how does he know Telugu etc.Actually,the answer to the latter was interesting,In IITM earlier Telugu movies were screened once in a while,With the fond of watching movies,he learnt Telugu.Now,He knew all southern languages it seems.Another Prof. learnt Hindi so that he knows if someone is scolding!! Interesting isn't it.

Well the discussion carried on for 30 minutes.Need to agree that time just flew.But,something was pulling me down throughout the session. I was actually little tensed in meeting the Dean. At the end,Dean gave a hug.Wow!!..actually it is good that i don't have a girl friend or else she
would be cribbing since i don't know even know how to hug.

This is the first time I mingled with a professor like this. First added in Orkut...later in Gtalk and then in person.I dont know whether my first social experiment was hit or flop, but it was memorable.

Breaking the nights silence,the buzz sound of my alarm moved my ass off the bed.
With Reebok shoes and jersey here i entered the stadium like a professional jogger.The sizzling solar rays slowly faded the jagged fragmented clouds in the sky.Of course,this is all meant to improve so called physique,which may help in flattering the buxoms but,i guess many joggers are inspired by their swinging ponderable butts and tummies.

In the stadium,to my utter surprise,saw a wide variety of jogging practices.some walk,some limp,some hop and a few jog.Most of them can be compared to animals like snail,hare,frog etc.Few people hided their bouncing nipples behind their fists.

After a lusty pull of back, i also followed the predecessors.stretching the legs forward sprinted the initial rounds like tom catching jerry.galloping the tiredness i completed 5 rounds successfully.but,the silly cool breeze tickled the sweat, o0oo0oo,a cold passed till toe.this encouraged me from within to make one more round,In the last 100m,the sweet kiss of sweat drop from ear with the shoulder gives an ultimate tender feeling.The satisfaction was everlasting!!
Truly, jogging is pleasure treasure.

This happened because today i have boasted myself to every third person that i rode a powered two wheeler for the first time.
This all happened when we made our industrial trip to tube investments of india limited.well, I hope you haven't recognized this 60 year old company.BSA,HERCULES, COROMANDEL, CHOLAMANDALAM, might ring you.Well,these are subsidiaries of this industry.
With an employee strength of 32000 it caters around 16 different areas of market.The founder is Murugappa.
Recently this company has launched its "E"conomical scooter.Our tour to this company was focused on this new product.We arrived there at the hottest time of the day after a tiresome of 90 minute journey.We were well received by two people in BSA outfits.One from technical and other guy from marketing.
As expected the marketing guy started his speech" I am not going to market our product to you".Unexpectedly or rather surprisingly the technical manager interfered into this guy's speech a lot.To grab our attention, this marketing guy came up with altogether a new creative idea of showcasing about their brand ambassador.The 3 minute and odd video brought our lives back.All the credit goes to TAMANNAH.Of course,the video is a collection of hottest scenes from different movies .i still dont understand how come she grabbed our eyes with her cute smily expressions.
The next session was to visit their test centre which they proudly named as RESEARCH CENTRE.well,there wasnt any good research going on as far as i know.they have developed some testing tools and using which they validate a batch.The interesting thing was WATER INGRESS TEST.They check for the working of motor in a water reservoir.They do component level as well as complete vehcile testing.they have an assembly line of 20 mts.Just think about it!!
They are right now developing two kinds of vehicles depending upon their power requirements-250 watt and 500 watt.The interesting thing is 250 watt does not require any license issues.For the performance details i advice you to have look at their web page.
After their assembly they do a test ride.Luckily,we have got permission to take a test drive in their track.
Seriously, i havent rode any powered vehicle in my life till now.With a lot of desperation i moved my ass over the hot seat.Well the pillion driver just rolled the accelerator.In fact, i never thought
that diving is so easy.That was my first driving,poor fellow,my friend who sat at my back didnt know that i am driving for the first time.you should have seen his expressions when he came to know.with a lot of confidence i finished four rounds successfully.
